Northern Bavaria is full of incredible historical treasures like the medieval town of Bamberg with its unique historic centre (UNESCO World Heritage), Bayreuthwith its magnificent Magravial Opera House (UNESCO World Heritage) and the famous Rothenburg ob der Tauber with its medieval charm. One can admire the spectacular Giovanni Battista Tiepolo frescos in the Würzburg Residence Palace built by the baroque star architect Balthasar Neumann (UNESCO World Heritage) and the fantastic masterpieces of late 15th century sculptor Tilmann Riemenschneider. A special highlight will be a private reception by Count von Schönborn Wiesentheid in the magnificent Weissenstein Palace, hosting one of the most exquisite private old master collections. After two nights in the Friedrichsruhe Castle Hotel and excursions to the Hohenloher Land, you will continue to the charming town Eltville in the heart of the Rhine valley wine area, where you will enjoy a private wine tasting at one of the most decorated vineyards. A private boat tour through the Upper Rhine Valley (UNESCO heritage site) will bring you close to one of the most famous landmarks in Germany. Here you will experience how knights and ladies lived in the medieval times. Count Jakob von und zu Eltz who owns this gigantic castle now in the 34th generation will lead you through his outstanding property.
